"It was on a warm Autumn afternoon deep in the Shropshire countryside that I discovered this old Morris traveller. It at once evoked, in it’s sad beauty, nostalgic memories of childhood adventures in just such a car. As I walked around it, every scratch and dent unfolding episodes of it’s earlier years, I knew that I had to capture everything in paint”

We acknowledge gratefully the kind gesture by Neil Matthews in granting his permission for the production of this limited edition of 450 prints. Each print was personally signed and numbered by the artist, authorised and stamped, and then the printing plates were destroyed, to guarantee the limited production of these prints. Printed in light-fast colours on 250 gsm acid-free paper, the overall size of each print is 24 x 17 inches, and the image size is 20 x 12.25 inches. We expect business
to be brisk on this picture and therefore orders will be despatched on a
“first come, first served” basis.Delay in ordering could well result in
disappointment. Many of these prints have already been shipped overseas, USA, Germany,
Israel, and several Asian countries, to name a few. Sold in
nice frames in galleries for exorbitant prices, you now have the opportunity
to buy direct from the publishers for the fixed price of UK £ 49.99 pounds
sterling, post-free;within UK ( insurance available at extra cost if required ). The
publishers reserve the right to limit orders from any one gallery or
art-dealer to ensure fair distribution. The artist has never previously
permitted any of his work to be reproduced like this, and this is the first
time that he agreed to do so. Therefore this is a scarce opportunity to
obtain an image by Neil Matthews.
